ProteinSimple to Offer Direct Sales, Service and Support for Biologics Products in Europe

Back to News

Santa Clara, CA, October 7, 2011 — ProteinSimple today announced plans to provide direct sales, field applications and field service support for its biologics products in Europe, effective January 1, 2012. Two industry-leading product lines are included in this expanded support structure: iCE Imaged Capillary Electrophoresis systems and MFI Micro-Flow Imaging systems.

The biologics market segment is a key strategic focus at ProteinSimple. The development of protein biologics currently is an explosive growth area for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. The purity and stability of new protein formulations must be stringently monitored, and iCE and MFI systems are acknowledged gold-standard technologies for that purpose. Virtually every major producer of protein biologics employs ProteinSimple systems in their drug development processes, and increasingly for quality control testing.

“We believe that providing direct service and support to our European biologics customers will result in real benefits for them,” commented Walter Ausserer, General Manager of Biologics. “Outstanding applications support and service is a core value at ProteinSimple. Our expanded support structure will enable customers across Europe to keep up-to-date on the latest improvements in technology and to more directly influence our product development decisions. We look forward to providing our European customers with the same high level of support that our customers in North America already enjoy.”

The iCE3, a next-generation iCE platform, will be launched by ProteinSimple at the CE Pharm 2011 conference, October 9-13, 2011, at Amelia Island, FL.
